The artwork was commissioned for Lilford Park, Leigh, Wigan as part of an Arts and Health Project focusing on public health and wellbeing. The project involved participatory engagement sessions within the Cavendish and Lakeside units at Lilford Infirmary. The workshops identified through creative exploration, words relating to mental health; stigma; mindfulness; recovery; arts; health and wellbeing that were implemented into the final design concept.
